Covid 19 Studio Policies

As the landscape surrounding Covid-19 changes, we will be adapting our practices, studio policies and classes to ensure we keep our pole family, community and each other safe. As a result, there will be a few changes to the studio in the immediate and they are all outlined below.

These adapted policies are put in place for the safety of everyone within our community, we will be taking them very seriously and as that you read through this in detail. Together, collectively we can keep our Redefine Fit family safe!

Impacts on Arrival & Departure

  • Exiting Promptly After Class: Generally pre-covid we love it when students come early or stay back and chat with us and other members. However given Covid and physical distancing we ask that after class you exit the premises promptly. This will give our staff the time to clean the studio before the next group of students arrive.
  • Arriving Before Class: To help control the flow of traffic we ask that you arrive no earlier than 5 mins before class with your clothing on underneath.
  • Waiting Area: In an effort to reduce the amount of bodies in the waiting area please refer to the above points. During this time we are removing all items we cannot thoroughly sanitize in between the classes. Unfortunately this means our carpets etc.
  • Your Bin: Upon arrival you will be given a standard size tote bin to keep your bags and belongings in. These tote bins are to be kept ON THE WHITE SHELF. Do not bring excess materials (luggage, groceries, lots of bags, boxes) etc just what you need and you can keep them in the bin.

Impacts on Communal Items

We are eliminating all communal items which have previously been shared. These will be reintroduced once again when Covid 19 is over/ it is safe to do so.

  • Water bottle: Please bring your own, we will be removing the cups for the time being. You can still fill up your bottle from our water dispenser or the sink.
  • Towels: There will be no more communal towels please ensure to bring your own to class to wipe down the pole. There are some in the studio available for purchase we only have 10 of those so please remember to bring your own. These will just be your towel that you touch and bring to and from.
  • Rubbing alcohol bottles: There is enough for 1 bottle per person during class and they will be wiped down in between classes.
  • Yoga Mats: Please bring your own yoga mats for the following classes: Flex and Core Fit
  • Bands/ Foam Rollers/ Peanut Balls: As per government guidelines these items will be out of service
  • Pre-Changed: To avoid being in additional spaces around the studio it is HIGHLY recommended you come pre-changed or have your pole clothing on underneath.
  • You Use It You Wipe It: We will be thoroughly cleaning everything regardless between classes and definitely at the end and beginning of each day, however during classes and in the event there are folks waiting “if you use it you wipe it” , we will have bleach, Lysol wipes and alcohol wipes and paper towels dispersed throughout the studio to make this easier. Examples of this would include; water dispenser handle, washrooms etc.

Impacts on Classes (In Studio & Virtual)

  • Masks are Mandatory: Upon arriving and exiting the studios masks/ face coverings are mandatory. Masks are ALSO MANDATORY during the duration of your pole/fitness class.
  • Elimination of Pole Share: As a result of the Covid-19 we will be temporarily eliminating pole share. If you are in the same bubble/household etc with this person, and would like to share the pole with them, given our physical space within the studio, and to be respectful of others in the class pole share is NOT an option at this point.
  • Reduce Class Size: Given physical distancing, we will be opening with a reduced capacity and not all poles will be used. This will mean you will have more intimate classes. Upon arriving, and once in class you will be divided into group 1 and 2. This will further help with the physical distancing in class – Group one will go then group 2 will go etc
  • Reduce Class time (45 mins): As we are all coming out of quarantine, re-adjusting ourselves to fitness and pole after several months, accommodating reduced class sizes, and allotting time to clean between each class we will be running 45 minute classes. Adherence to this time frame is essential to ensure adequate time for cleaning and disinfecting between classes ** (This is for August & September to determine if we can get our cleaning done in 20 mins if we are efficient and students arrive/depart on time we can eventually move back to 50/55/ then 60 mins for classes. We rather be safer and then add)

  • Contact Less Spotting

  • On-line Classes: During this time we will be offering 2 types of online classes
  1. Live Zoom “Overflow” Classes: These classes will be taking place in real time when our scheduled classes are running, and you are welcome to sign up for them. They will be denoted as “VIRTUAL” on the schedule so you are welcome to use the virtual passes or your regular membership/class passes. Students on the waitlist for the in-person classes will also be able to sign up for the virtual class(es).
  2. Complimentary LIVE recorded classes: Students who have a (MEMBERSHIP) will be able to access the library of Live pre-recorded classes from the comfort of their own account on Wellness Living! Through the app or on the website.
  • Introduction of New/Additional Classes: Keep an eye on the schedule we will see where we can add in additional/ new classes to help out with the traffic
  • Pole Towels: Just another friendly reminder – There will be no more communal towels please ensure to bring your own to class to wipe down the pole.
  • Pole Grip: During this time we recommend that you bring your pole grip with you home and back each time. Our communal bin for you to store your pole grip will be back once it is safe to have it there.

Impacts on Studio Policy

  • Masks are Mandatory: Upon arriving and exiting the studios masks/ face coverings are mandatory. Masks are ALSO MANDATORY during the duration of your pole/fitness class.
  • Listen to Your Body: If you have ANY symptoms of any sort DO NOT come to class. Even if you are certain it is not Covid-19, please be respectful of this unprecedented time, and your fellow pole family and community members.
  • Temperature Checks: Before each class we have an infrared thermometer we will be using to conduct a quick temperature check
  • Questionnaire: Before each class we have a brief questionnaire for to ask you to better track everyone etc
  • Snacking: Pre-Covid between classes or during shoots etc you were welcome to have a snack in the waiting area. During this time we request that after your class/session/photoshoot you exit the studio promptly to have your snack

  • Traveled outside of the Country?: If you have recently traveled outside of the country please wait 2 weeks before attending your next class. This is to be respectful of this unprecedented time, and to keep your fellow pole family and community members safe.
  • 1 Person = 1 Bag: At this time please pack light and just bring a bag with only what you need. Please do not bring excess materials (luggage, groceries, lots of bags, boxes) etc

  • Cleaning in between classes: We will be cleaning the studio between each and every class and very thoroughly at the end of each day. As a result, it is CRITICAL that our classes run for their slotted 45 mins and students leave promptly after class and avoid coming in earlier than 5 mins before the scheduled start time.
  • Late Cancellation: Friendly reminder – Our late cancellation policy is 12 hours. Given the VERY LIMITED spots available for classes, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS. A STRICT 12 hour cancellation policy is in place to be fair to everyone else at the studio, (students, instructors and the studio). ** Reminder – No show rate is $10 so late canceling is better than no-showing!
  • Waiting List: We always encourage students to sign up for the waitlist. Leading up to the class, some students may cancel early thus making room for those on the wait list.

Reminder on How the Waitlist Works:

  1. When a spot becomes available (someone has canceled their spot) you will you will receive an automated email to the email you have on file informing you that you are now successfully registered in the class.** Please make sure you have not opted-out of receiving automated emails.
  2. Leading up to the class if you are still on the waitlist, but no longer sure if you can make it please remove yourself from the wait list to avoid being added into the class and subsequently charged for class in the event you need to cancel.
  3. You will be automatically added to the classes UP TO A MAX of 3 HOURS before, at which point we will reach out to you via text to make sure you are able to still make it. Any additions before 3 Hours is your responsibility.

Impacts on Pricing & Availability

  • NEW 4 Week Cohort Classes: Given the nature of Covid-19 these 4 week sessions will allow you to remain with the same co-hort each week, and progress as a cohort. This essentially limits your number of interactions with different people. The series are divided by level and spin/static pole 🙂
  • Privates/Semi Privates:The timing for these will remain the same at 60 minutes please note all other pieces regarding masks, arriving pre changed etc still apply.
  • Virtual Memberships: We will be continuing our virtual membership during this time, as well as access to our Redefine Fit Tutorials site for all virtual memberships
  • Discontinued NEW sales of Memberships: For the duration of Covid-19 we have made the difficult decision to pause all membership sales, as our classes and operations will be impacted with class sizes and capacity. For those who already have a membership on their account we have some options.
  • Current Memberships: There are some changes to how these will work under the Covid 19 circumstances.
